Gerry Kupferschmidt is president of G. Kupferschmidt Consulting
Services Ltd. (FORCON). He provides consultation services to industry,
government, legal counsel, insurance agencies and private individuals
on matters related to toxicology and general chemical, analytical and
forensic programs.
He has been involved in the development of new breath test devices
and other methods of detection for alcohol in various biological
fluids. He also does independent analysis of biological samples seized
in criminal cases to identify alcohol and or drug content and provides
interpretation regarding pharmacological effect. He has given evidence
as an expert at all levels of the judiciary.
From 1971 to 1985 he worked for the RCMP Forensic Laboratories.

- Chief Scientist Analytical Services
He has taught
in police science courses and participated in breath test training
courses
designed to develop qualified technicians for enforcement of the
drinking and driving provisions of the Criminal Code
of Canada.
Graduated from the University of Guelph, 1970, B.Sc. (Chemistry)
and in 1971, M.Sc. (Chemistry).
He is a member of the Chemical Institute of
Canada, the Canadian Society of Forensic Science, the American
Academy of
Forensic Science and many other organizations.
